TIES Conference Presentation – Web 2.0 for Real Teachers in Real Classrooms.

I was invited to present a 6-hour conference session at the regional TIES conference, a large TechEd conference in Minneapolis.  I presented on Web 2.0 tools that I have either used or know of colleagues who use.  I tried to give lots of examples of the kinds of things that can be done with them.

Some of the stuff I covered:

  • Google Apps for Education
  • WikiSpaces
  • Blogger, WordPress, and Posterous
  • Flickr
  • Wikipedia
  • Ning, Grou.ps
  • Yola, Weebly, Wix
  • Animoto

You can see the slide show that accompanied my presentation HERE, which includes a few good videos I shared.

  1. I agree with you web developer. Teachers should teach these kids of the newer media. Technologically acute individuals usually achieve more as they go with the flow of advancements. Their teaching, of course, wouldn't be effective if they cannot deliver their lessons properly.presentation skills training
