The migration to Google Apps has begun

The migration to Google Apps for Education is at hand. The IT guy sent out the first of what will be several emails to get the ball rolling, and let teachers know how to access the GMAIL account.

In a week, we are already doing trainings for it.

I am ecstatic to see where this goes. Needless to say, I will have a lot to write about how transitions go, and any limitations in the Education version.

The one downside I have to note: Ironically, those of us who have piloted this Google stuff are going to be the most inconvenienced, as we need to migrate everything from our previous @gmail accounts to our .edu accounts…
